Funeral services for Dorothy Shaw, formerly of Kidder, will be held t 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Speaks Midtown Chapel. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Coffey Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday at the Speaks Midtown Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Dorothy M. Shaw, 64, of Independence, died June 3 at her home.
Mrs. Shaw was born Dec. 7, 1937, in Logan, Iowa. She had lived in Kidder before moving to the Independence area in the early 1950’s.
Mrs. Shaw was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Independence.
Survivors include her husband, Charles E. Shaw of the home; one son, Michael E. Shaw of Independence; one daughter, Linda Marie Vandiver of Overland Park, Kan.; and one sister, Verda Simon of Urbandale, Iowa.; four grandchildren.
