Two subjects arrested for Gallatin burglaries
State charges were recently filed against two Gallatin men following a municipal investigation of several burglaries and thefts which occurred in Gallatin over the past several months. According to Gallatin Police Officer Mark Richards, who led the investigation, several burglaries were cleared up with the arrest of the two subjects.
Robert Wilson, 17, of Gallatin was charged April 16 with one Class A misdemeanor of receiving stolen property, two Class A misdemeanors of stealing, and three Class C felonies of burglary in the 2nd degree. On April 18, an additional Class A misdemeanor charge of receiving stolen property was filed by the prosecuting attorney. Bond has been set at $136,500.
Wilson was on probation and electronic monitoring at the time the burglaries occurred. As reported in the April 3 issue of this newspaper, he was arrested March 29 for probation violations on an earlier felony charge of burglary, with bond set at $25,000.
Franklin Holcomb, 19, of Gallatin was charged April 18 with four counts of burglary, 2nd degree, Class C felonies, and four counts of stealing, Class A misdemeanors. Bond was set at $182,000.
Both men are being held in Ray County Security Housing, pending arraignment.
