Bill and Marilyn Pardun of Gilman City wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Catherine Marie, to Daniel Wayne Chalfant, son of Gary and Becky Chalfant of Wellsville. The bride is a 2001 graduate of Northwest Missouri State University with a B.S. in public relations. She is currently employed by the Boy Scouts of America at Emporia, Kan. The groom is a 2001 graduate of Northwest Missouri State University with a B.S. in agricultural education. He is currently working towards his masters in ag ed at Northwest. The wedding is planned for May.
