Margaret “Peggy” Weide Alber, 91, Overland Park, died April 18, 2002 at St. Luke’s Hospital.
A memorial service was held April 22, at Meyer Boulevard United Methodist Church, Kansas City. Arrangements are by Mt. Moriah & Freeman. Mrs. Alber requested that an anatomical donation be made to science and research.
Mrs. Alber was born in Kansas City.
She co-founded Alber Electric in 1930, and retired from Sears after 35 years of employment.
Mrs. Alber was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include two sons, D. Robert Alber of Lee’s Summit, and Donald E. Alber of Overland Park; three sisters, Kathy Snyder, Doris West, and Louise Zook; one brother, Mitch Weide; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren,
