Girl Scouts of the Midland Empire held their recognition dinner on Saturday, April 6, at the First Baptist Church in Cameron. The event is held annually to recognize volunteers for outstanding accomplishments.

Receiving tenure pins for years of membership were Mike Arnold, Gallatin, 15 years, and Mary Jane Story, Gallatin, 35 years. Among the Daviess County volunteers who were recognized were Service Team members Sharon Anthuis, Sharon McKee and Mary Jane Story, all of Gallatin.

Girl Scouts from this area also were recognized for having a 7.7% increase in adult membership.
