Funeral services for Ralph Showalter, father of Mark and Philip of Jamesport, were held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the Methodist Church in Jerico Springs. Interment was in the Greenfield Cemetery, Jerico Springs.
Ralph Wendell Showalter, 81, Jerico Springs, formerly of St. Joseph, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2002, at Nevada Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Showalter was born in Holt County.
He retired from Allied Systems Car Haulers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother; and sister, Betty.
Other survivors include his wife, Mavis Showalter, Jerico Springs; three brothers, Kirk Showalter, Medford, Ore.; Terry Showalter, Tonganoxie, Kan.; Lynn Showalter, Helena; nine sisters, Nadine Hendrix, St. Joseph; Darlene LaBorde, Richland, Wash.; Mary Howes, St. Joseph; Beverly Beeney, Brookings, Ore.; Peggy Snyder, Courtland, Neb.; Connie Renne, Prairie Village, Kan.; Deborah Johnson, Kansas City; Donna Barrett, Kansas City, Kan.; Cindy Showalter, Bothell, Wash.; two other sons, David Showalter, Belaire, Texas and Stephen Showalter, Elizabethtown, Ky.; a stepson, Craig Peoples, Lawson; two daughters, Rebecca Stuck, St. Joseph; Carolyn Hills, Leavenworth, Kan.; a stepdaughter, Marci Ripley, Lawson; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
