Gallatin R-5 music students participated in District Music Contest recently. Bound for state are Anna Barton, vocal solo I rating; Jessica King, vocal solo I rating; Mariah Gibson, vocal solo II rating; miscellaneous ensemble of Anna Barton, Kim Clevenger, Kayli Burrell, Erin Sweatman, Kamille Burrell, I rating; sextet of Jessica King, Priscilla Ford, Amanda Bohannon, Rachel Toney, Mariah Gibson, Katrina Calhoon, I rating.

Jake Rutherford received Honorable Mention on the All-Conference Academic Team. He was voted on the team by the conference coaches.
FFA teams place at districts
The following FFA teams placed at the district Agriculture contest and will advance to state competition in Columbia, April 18-19: Poultry 2nd place-Erin Croy 3rd high individual; Ag Sales 3rd place; Entomology 3rd place; Dairy Cattle 4th place-Justin Harlow 3rd high individual; Ag Mechanics 5th place; Horse Judging 6th place; Dairy Products 8th place; Meats Judging 9th place; Forestry 9th place, alternate to state. Congratulations to the Entomology team that placed first at the NCMC contest yesterday. Caleb Leeper was the high individual and Richie McLey was second high individual.
