Funeral services for Drew Wilson were held at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the First Baptist Church in Gallatin. Burial was at Hillcrest Cemetery, Gallatin. Arrangements were by McWilliams Funeral Home, Gallatin. Memorials may be made to Children’s Mercy Hospital in care of the funeral home.

Drew Lee Wilson, five, son of DeAnna and Dean Swalley, and Darrell and Jamie Wilson, died Saturday, April 6, 2002, at the Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.

Born on Dec. 4, 1996, Drew was in preschool at Covel D. Searcy Elementary and participated in gymnastics. Drew loved to fish; ride his bikes, tractors and horses; and spend time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his parents, DeAnna and Dean Swalley, Gallatin; and Darrell and Jamie Wilson, Gallatin; three brothers, Dalton Swalley, Tristen and Tanner Wilson; grandparents, Betty and Bobbie Curtis, Jamesport; Rex Curtis, Fairchance, Pa.; Darrell and Carla Wilson, Gallatin; Kathy and Dewight Smith, Gallatin; Daryl and Gloria Swalley, Jamesport; Sally Hunt, Gallatin; and Jim Gray, Jameson; great-grandparents, Louise Curtis, Gallatin; Shirley Middaugh, Hamilton; Mary Curtis, Jamesport; Anita Strange, Brookfield; and Roberta Swalley, Independence; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
