Daniel Lynn, bridge supervisor, and James Lewis, foreman, met with the commission reporting that work will begin today on a culvert replacement on Titan Avenue in Sheridan Township. Daniel will notify the central dispatch office, the school district and the post office.

Wilbur Burns, Jameson Fire Protection District, met with the commission regarding the Local Emergency Planning grant. Mr. Burns will order equipment and the county will pay $1,000 toward the costs.
Bob Burnett, Missouri Department of Transportation, met with the commission with the final reports on the recent bridge inspections.
Mike Cottrell, Washington Township board member, met with the commission concerning tubes, culverts and road repairs underway in that township.
At 11:30 a.m. as advertised, bids were opened for CART rock with Limpus Quarries, Martin Marietta Aggregates, and Trager Quarries submitting bids. David Holcomb moved to accept the bid from Martin Marietta for the 1-1/4 inch rock at $7.20; Trager Quarries for the chips at $8.60 and the 2-inch rock at $8.40. Danny Heldenbrand seconded. Carried.
At 1:30 p.m. as advertised, bids were opened for culverts and lumber. David Holcomb moved to accept the bids from Hillyard Lumber at $0.50 per board foot and Metal Culverts for the corrugated metal pipe. Danny Heldenbrand seconded. Carried.
