Law Day was conducted on March 13 by Judge Warren McElwain, and the following cases were heard:

Dissolutions of marriage were granted to Samuel L. Justus from Deborah L. Justus; to Donald Bridgeman from Janet Bridgeman with her former name of Traylor restored; to Kimberly Ann Hutchinson from Vincent Darrell Hutchinson; and to Susan Bird from Jesse Bird.

In the State of Missouri vs. Thomas Merle Merrigan, charged with criminal non-support, the defendant entered a plea of guilty on a plea agreement, imposition of sentence suspended. He was placed on probation for 5 years under the supervision of the state board of Probation and Parole.

In State vs. Jeremy L. Milnes, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to count 1 – possession of a controlled substance, Class C felony, and to count 2 – possession of drug paraphernalia, Class A misdemeanor. On a plea agreement, Milnes was sentenced to 5 years in the department of corrections on count 1, and 5 days in the county jail on count 2. The court will retain jurisdiction under RSMo 559.115.

Joseph A. Hatfield entered a plea of guilty to the Class C felony of stealing. On a plea agreement, the imposition of sentence was suspended, and he was placed on probation for 5 years under the supervision of the state board of Probation and Parole. Special conditions of probation were 50 hours public service, 30 days shock jail time, and restitution of $84.

Dacy Ray Watkins plead guilty to probation violations, and was ordered committed to the department of corrections for 5 years, a sentence which had been previously imposed for Class D felony non support. The court will retain jurisdiction under RSMo 559.115.

On March 14, Judge Barbara Lame granted a dissolution of marriage to Marilyn J. Nelson from Harold E. Nelson.

In State of Missouri vs. Randy Schneider, heard by Judge Daren Adkins on March 14, the defendant plead guilty to distribution of a controlled substance, Class B felony, and was sentenced to 12 years in the department of corrections, execution of sentence suspended. The defendant was placed on probation for 5 years under supervision of the state board of Probation and Parole.

A dissolution of marriage was granted to Carl E. Holcomb from Susan A. Holcomb by Judge Daren Adkins on March 15.
