Area landowners and wildlife enthusiasts should mark the date of April 2 on their calendars and make plans to attend the NW Missouri Small Game Management Conference. The conference is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the Clasbey Center in Savannah.
Speakers and their topics for the 2002 conference are as follows: Bill White, Wildlife Biologist, Missouri Department of Conservation, Private Land Services, Small Game Predators and Habitat and Suggested Practices for Your Operation; Jeff Powelson, Missouri Department of Conservation, Private Land Conservationist Services Available From the Private Land Services, Food Plot Seed and Cost Share; Dr. Bob Pierce, State Fisheries and Wildlife Specialist, University of Missouri-Columbia Lifecycle and Biology of Quail and Pheasants; Jim Humphrey, Regional Livestock Specialist, University of Missouri Goals, Resources Needed and Timelines.
The conference is designed to give landowners and wildlife enthusiast in the area an update on current suggested practices and issues regarding quail and pheasant management on your operation.
Fee to attend is $5.00 per person.
