Co-Ed volleyball tournament
North Daviess R-3 will hold a co-ed volleyball tournament starting at 9 a.m. on March 30 at the North Daviess High School. The tournament will be a double elimination; best two out of three match; 15 point matches; must win by two.
First place prize is $75 dollars and second place prize is $50. Prizes are based on an eight team tournament.
A concession stand will be available. To sign up call Gregg Hartley at 660-828-4123. Must be signed up by March 25. Entry fee is $55 per team. The tournament is sponsored by the North Daviess Class of 2002.
Students of the month for February honored
Freshman Crystal Cook and sophomore John Bohannon were chosen as North Daviess R-3 Students of the Month for February.
Crystal was on the first and second quarter A honor roll. She participated in high school softball and junior high basketball. She is currently involved in high school basketball, art club (where she serves as president), service club, FCCLA vice-president and Region 2 historian, dance team, drama club, high school cheerleading, high school academic team and junior high academic team. She is also a founding member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).
John Bohannon was on the first quarter “B” honor roll and is the sophomore class student council representative. John was on the softball team and is now on the high school basketball team. He participates in FFA, drama club and service club.
