Funeral services for Frances Royston, a native of Pattonsburg, will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 15, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada, Mo. Interment will be in Newton Burial Park, Nev. Friends may call until the hour of service. The family will receive friends Friday morning from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Frances Mildred Royston, 94, Nevada, died Monday, March 11, 2002, at the Christian Health Care in Nevada.
Mrs. Royston was born in Pattonsburg. She moved from McFall to Sheldon in 1948. She went to Nevada in 1961.
Mrs. Royston worked at Nevada State Hospital for 13 years, retiring in 1972.
She married Durward Royston on Feb. 17, 1926, in Gallatin. He died on Aug. 25, 1977.
Mrs. Royston was a member of Heath Chapel Church in Northern Missouri since 1943.
She was preceded in death by three sisters.
Survivors include two daughters, Willodean Plymell of Hays, Kan., and Carolyn Gordon of Nevada, Mo.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
