Daviess County Soil & Water Conservation District will host their 58th Annual Meeting on March 18 at the Gallatin High School Gym.

All soil district cooperators are invited to attend. D&S Catering, Gallatin, will serve the free catered meal starting at 6 p.m. Reservations are requested by March 11. Call 663-3703 extension 3 for dinner reservations.

The evening program will follow the dinner with the Outstanding Conservation Farmer award announced. County poster winners will be recognized.

Jim Grace, Albany, will provide the evening entertainment. Mr. Grace was raised on a farm near Albany. He obtained degrees in zoology and wildlife biology, and then worked in the western U.S., from Texas to Alaska, before returning to Missouri in 1984 to work for the Missouri Department of Conservation.

Jim, with his wife Betty and their two children, returned to farming full-time in 2002. He enjoys photography, and specializes in nature, adventure, and rural life subjects.

Mr. Grace will show slides and discuss his adventures of climbing Mount McKinley, the highest mountain in North America.

Door prizes from area merchants will conclude the evening.
