The Gallatin Police Department reported the following incidents for February:

Feb. 1 — stealing reported at 612 E. Richardson. The actual occurrence was between Nov. 1-27, 2001.

Feb. 6 — stealing from city utilities reported at 605 N. Adams. The stealing occurred between May of 1998 and Jan. 28 of 2002. The case was turned over to prosecutors. The suspect has been identified and is making arrangements to settle the debt. Suspect turned the utilities on after they had been shut down.

Feb. 10 — report on miscellaneous investigation on a runaway. The person had been missing since the morning of Feb. 9. Individual turned up later, out of gas and money in Arkansas.

Feb. 11 between 8:30 a.m. and 12:40 p.m. — burglary at 101 E. Elm Apt. #23. Some tools were allegedly taken.

Feb. 11 at 7:10 p.m. — assault report at 510 W. Grand. A father of a divorced couple slapped his son. The mother reported the incident.

Feb. 11 at 2:30 p.m. — dog bite report at 201 E. Park Trailer #1. The dog was collected and put in the pound.

Fe. 12 — report of property damage at 101 E. Elm Apt. #25. Time of actual occurrence was between Feb. 10 and Feb. 12.

Feb. 14 at 4 a.m. — misc. investigation at 301 W. Van Buren. A woman found her front door standing open. There were no signs of forced entry and nothing missing or disturbed.

Feb. 16 at 4:06 a.m. — domestic violence report at 301 W. Van Buren. The primary aggressor was taken into custody for 20 hours, sent to Ray County Security Housing.

Feb. 18 — stealing report at 1207 S. Clay. Time of actual occurrence was Feb. 14 at 9 a.m. and Feb. 18 at 10:20 a.m.

Feb. 19 — stealing report 808 W. Ogden. Time of actual occurrence was between Feb. 18 at 3:30 p.m. and Feb. 19 at 5:30 a.m. Somebody took a plastic plate and ten bolts off the rear end assembly of a new Ford truck, causing the oil to leak out.

Feb. 19 — stealing report at 201 W. Elm. Actual occurrence was between the first of Aug. in 2001, through Feb. 16, 2002. Somebody stole a car hauling trailer from in front of the junk yard.

The trailer had been set out for the owner to come and get.

Feb. 19 at 10 p.m. — non aggravated assault at the car wash at Allen and Main. Two teenage girls in a fight.

Feb. 21 at 3:30 p.m. — property damage at the high school parking lot. A student found a crack in the windshield of his vehicle that he alleged was not there when he parked it.

Feb. 21 at 7:30 p.m. — burglary report at 401 W. Grand.

Feb. 22 — missing persons report at 811 W. Van Buren. An individual who suffered from Alzheimer’s was missing from 7:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. Numerous volunteers joined in the search.

The individual was found at the power plant.

Feb. 23 at 11 p.m — 208 N. Clay Apt. #2. Officers made an arrest for felony possession of narcotics.
