Army National Guard Pfc. Dustin McNeely and Army Pvt. Sheire West have graduated from basic training.

National Guard Pfc. Dustin L. McNeely has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

During the nine weeks of training, the soldier received instruction and practice in drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, physical fitness, basic first aid, and Army values, principles, and traditions.

He is the son of Ron McNeely of 312 W. Vanburen, Gallatin, Mo.

McNeely graduated in 1998 from Gallatin High School, and received an associate degree in 2000 from Northeastern Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College, Miami.

Army Pvt. Sheire L. West has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

During the nine weeks of training, the soldier received instruction and practice in drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, physical fitness, basic first aid, and Army values, principles, and traditions.

West is the daughter of Bernice Fields of 201 Oak St., Lock Springs, Mo.

The private is a 2001 graduate of Tri County R 7 School, Jamesport, Mo.
