Law Day was held Feb. 13 with Judge Warren McElwain presiding. The following cases were heard:
Brandon Foose, who was charged with the Class D felony of property damage, entered a guilty plea, and a pre-sentence investigation was ordered.
Lester W. Melton entered a guilty plea to the Class D felony of property damage and two Class A misdemeanors of stealing. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered.
In the State of Missouri vs. Lee Anna Riley, she had previously entered a guilty plea to DWI, 2nd degree, a misdemeanor, and the Class C felony of driving while revoked. The pre-sentence investigation was filed, and she was sentenced to three years in the department of corrections.
Michael N. Mackowiak plead guilty to the Class C felony of assault, 2nd degree. The pre-sentence investigation was filed. On a plea agreement, he was sentenced to four years in the department of corrections, execution of sentence suspended, placed on five years probation, and as a special condition of probation, ordered to serve 60 days shock time in the county jail.
Braden K. Polley admitted probation violations to an original charge of possession of a controlled substance, Class C felony, and was sentenced to five years in the department of corrections, execution of sentence suspended. He was placed on probation for five years, and ordered to serve 60 days shock jail time.
Michelle J. Smith admitted probation violations on an original charge of abuse of a child, Class D felony. Probation was revoked and she was sentenced to five years in the department of corrections. The court retained jurisdiction under 559.115 RSMo.
In State of Missouri vs. Thomas James Everman, the defendant admitted probation violations, probation was revoked, and he was ordered to serve his sentence of 5 years in the department of corrections. Everman was originally charged with non-support, a Class D felony.
Joshua J. Brennan admitted probation violations and was sentenced to five years in the department of corrections. The court retained jurisdiction under 559.115 RSMo. Brennan was first charged with receiving stolen property, Class C felony.
In State vs. Wayne Justin Parkhurst, who was originally sentenced for manufacturing a controlled substance, Class B felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, Class A misdemeanor. He admitted probation violations. The court continued probation with the additional condition that he successfully complete 30 days of in-patient treatment and be placed on electronic monitoring.
