The Daviess County Business Women’s Association held their monthly meeting at “Seasons on the Square” on Feb. 12, with Sharon Whitt and Patty Heldenbrand as hostesses. Eighteen members and one guest, Lori Adams, were in attendance. President Jane McKenzie announced that Patty Heldenbrand will be chairman of the 2002 Scholarship Committee and committee members are to be Lola Critten, Norma Griffen and Darlene Patton. Members will provide the birthday party at the nursing home in April with details to be discussed at the March meeting. Birthday raffles went to Lola Critten and Geraldine Snidow. “Take Away Bingo” was played for Valentine gifts. The next meeting will be at “Seasons on the Square” on March 12, with Sue Downey and Norma Griffen as hostesses.

Gallatin Booster Club will have a meeting on Feb. 22 immediately following the boy’s varsity basketball game the high school gym.

The Preceptor Zeta Chi chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met February 4 at the home of Nancy Tate. Members discussed plans for the February birthday party at Daviess County Care Center. Carol Weaver disclosed plans for the February social on February 18 at Seasons on the Square. Nancy Terry gave a very interesting program on the life of Mary Todd Lincoln.The February 18 meeting of Preceptor Zeta Chi was held at Seasons on the Square with Carol Weaver as hostess. Hosts of the Holiday Homes Tour were invited as special guests. Anna Barton provided musical entertainment as everyone enjoyed a lovely meal. During the business meeting, Linda Bridgeman reported that five birthdays were celebrated at the party at DCCC. May 4 was selected as the date for the Founder’s Day celebration. President Ruth Frost discussed preliminary plans for progression. The next meeting with be at the home of Nancy Terry on March 4. There will be an executive meeting at 6:40.
