MacKenzies rises to MS bartender challenge

Taverns in northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas Are strategizing ways to unseat Jamesport Tavern, five-time winner of the MS Bartender Challenge for the St. Joseph Branch of the National MS Society.

Proceeds from the MS Bartender Challenge fund research and programs to end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis. The disease affects nearly a third of a million people in the US. A new case is diagnosed every hour. It can cause blurred vision, loss of balance, poor coordination, slurred speech, tremors, numbness, extreme fatigue and even paralysis and blindness. These problems might be permanent, or they might come and go.
