Funeral services for Mary Hoffman will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at Hodge Presbyterian Church in Trenton. Burial will be at the Masonic Cemetery, Trenton. Family visitation is from 7

to 8 tonight (Wednesday), at the Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home, Trenton. Memorials may be made to her church or North Central Missouri College Scholarship Fund in care of the funeral home, 813 Custer St., Trenton, 64683

Mary Louise (Tye) Hoffman, 84, Trenton, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2002, at the hospital in Trenton.

Mrs. Hoffman was born near Jamesport and reared there. She was a graduate of the Jamesport high school and Trenton Junior College.

She had taught rural school north of Gallatin for two years.

On Sept. 3, 1939, she married Henry F. Hoffman in Jamesport. They lived in Butler, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Mason City, Iowa, moving to Trenton in 1948. He survives at a health-care center in Trenton.

Mrs. Hoffman was a member of the Hodge Presbyterian Church, Antique Study Club, Garden Club, Daughters of the American Revolution and P.E.O. Sisterhood, all of Trenton.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Litton Tye; and a sister, Marjorie White.

Other survivors include three daughters, Linda Hurt, Elkhorn, Neb., Suzanne Barnes, Chesapeak, Va., and Alice Erickson, Holdrege, Neb.; and six grandchildren.
