A 43-year-old Gallatin man was charged with failure to appear on a charge of fishing without a permit, Class A misdemeanor. He posted $150 bond. The warrant was issued in Livingston County.
A 36-year-old Minneapolis, Minn., man was arrested Jan. 14 for driving while suspended, misdemeanor. He posted $500 bond.
Roger L. Lindahl of Kidder reported a burglary Jan. 12. According to Mr. Lindahl, some time between Jan. 6 and Jan. 12, the sliding door to his garage had been pried open, and several items were taken. The stolen items include a weed eater, chainsaw, air compressor and miscellaneous hand and power tools, valued at well over $1,000.
On Jan. 14, Daviess County sheriff’s deputies were called to a Lock Springs residence in regards to a possible assault. Cory Ballew, 22, Lock Springs, was arrested for 4 traffic violations in Lawrence County and two felony warrants in Carroll County, Ark., for burglary/theft. Charges are pending in Daviess County on the assault. No significant injuries were reported.
A 36-year-old Olathe, Kan., man was arrested Jan. 13 and charged with the Class A misdemeanors of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving while license revoked. He posted $650 bond.
A 30-year-old Milan man was charged Jan. 12 with the Class A misdemeanor of no valid license. He posted $75 bond.
Dolly A. Parks, 34, Gladstone, was charged Jan. 9 with the Class C felony of stealing. Bond was set at $25,000. She was arrested in Hardeman County, Texas, and transported to Ray County Security Housing.
On Jan. 7, Drury J. Bonderer of Gallatin reported that two of his cows had been shot. One was dead and the other had been shot in the front leg. The cows are valued at $650-$700 each.
The sheriff’s office received a total of 32 calls in the period from Jan. 8-14.
