Funeral services for Dorothy Maharg will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at McWilliams Family Funeral Homes-Hope Chapel in Gallatin. Burial will be at Old Scotland Cemetery, Jameson. Visitation is from noon to 6 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the funeral home. There is no scheduled family visitation. Memorials may be made to the cemetery in care of the funeral home, 201 S. Market, Gallatin.
Dorothy M. (Mills) McNeely Maharg, 85, Gallatin, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2001, at a health-care center in Gallatin.
Born on a farm near Jameson, Mrs. Maharg was a graduate of the Jameson high school.
A former homemaker, she was a member of the Old Scotland Church of Christ, near Jameson.
On Feb. 3, 1940, she married Hobert McNeely. They lived on the family farm in Jameson for 30 years. He died in 1973.
Survivors include two sons, Marvin McNeely, Cameron, and Eugene McNeely, Jameson; a daughter, Mary Miller, Jameson; a sister, Margaret Hampton, Liberty; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
