Sixteen members of the Daviess County Business Women’s Association met on Dec. 11 at Kathy’s Restaurant for a regular “dinner meeting” and Christmas party. Members wrapped Christmas presents for their “Angel Tree” child and their “Adopted Family” and filled Christmas plates with fruit, candy and cookies to be delivered to a dozen members of the community. The next meeting, to be hosted by Lola Critten and Darlene Patton will be at 6 on Jan. 8 with the
place to be announced.
Nine members of the Kill Kare Club met at the home of Betty Peters on Monday, Dec. 10.Betty opened the meeting by reading “The Night Before Christmas.” Devotion was “Silent Night.” Roll call was “A beautiful scene I enjoy at Christmas time.” Program was on identifying favorite
Christmas songs. Francie Toney gave a Christmas trivia and other fun facts. Betty made and showed favorite ornaments from her tree. A festive fellowship time was enjoyed afterwards with gifts exchanged.
