The Missouri Department of Transportation has announced that a Public Involvement Hearing has been scheduled on Tuesday, Dec. 18 from 4-7 p.m. at the North Central Career Center which is located at 1401 Daily Road in Bethany. The purpose of this meeting is to get public input about an upcoming project on Route B in Daviess County.

The meeting will be an open house format and no formal presentation will be given. The public is invited to attend and provide their input on this project. The proposed improvements include a bridge replacement on Route B over Hickory Creek east of Coffey, and bridge replacements over the Cypress and Little Cypress Creeks. Additional improvements include widening the roadway near the bridges. The road would be closed during construction, and traffic would be detoured on other state routes.

Highway designers will be present to answer questions at the meeting, and displays of the proposed construction will be available for viewing. Information about this project may be obtained by calling Project Manager, Wes Moore at 816-387-2499.

People wanting additional information about other projects being handled by the Missouri Department of Transportation should call the district’s toll-free customer service center at 1-888- ASK-MoDOT (1-888-275-6636).
