Funeral services for Dorotha Brown were held Saturday at McWilliams Family Funeral Homes- Hope Chapel in Gallatin. Burial was at Lock Springs Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the cemetery in care of the funeral home, 201 S. Market St., Gallatin, 64640

Dorotha R. (Dixon) Brown, 91, Gallatin, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001, at a health-care center in Gallatin.

Born in Lock Springs, Mrs. Brown was reared and attended school in that area.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Lock Springs, but attended the United Methodist Church of Gallatin.

On March 22, 1930, she married Kenneth Brown in Trenton. They farmed in the Splawn Ridge area, east of Gallatin, for 60 years until retiring and moving into Gallatin. He is deceased.

Survivors include a sister, Ruby Grimes, Chillicothe; and two brothers, Joe H. Dixon Jr. and James R. Dixon, both of Jamesport.
