The Daviess County Care Center has opened its new Independent Living Center. The eight bed wing, which was closed since 1999, is presently open to public viewing. A nurse is available 24 hours a day. “The Center welcomes visitors to come,” said Administrator Eva Colemen. ” The Independent Living Center has a home-like atmosphere with a dedicated staff.” The center’s first resident is Dorotha Brown. Dorotha came in Saturday evening and reports receiving “excellent care ever since I came out here.” Rooms start at $60 a day. Darlene Dombrowe is the unit coordinator.
