Two new books have been placed in the Daviess County Library as memorial gifts. In memory of Gene Garrison, formerly of Pattonsburg, is “How I Play Golf” by Tiger Woods. The second title, “Mark Twain; an illustrated biography” by Geoffrey C. Ward is in memory of Charlotte Cook. Both of these books are memorial gifts from Forrest and Billie Meadows of Bethany.
New shelving has been placed in the Young Adult section of the Daviess County Library. This four-shelf unit was purchased through the Veva Adkins Memorial Fund. The holiday season is a wonderful time to remember a loved one through a memorial gift such as audio books, magazines, videos, or books.
Remember that the library is a great place for some of your holiday needs: Christmas crafts books, holiday cooking books and leisure reading. Also, check out some of the great holiday videos. We now loan videos for seven days, which is a recent change in policy. We are also having fun with our reading club for adults, with prizes awarded monthly. Stop by the library soon.
