Joint service for Erik Eriksen Jr. were held Saturday at McWilliams Family Funeral Home in Gallatin. Burial was at Grand River Cemetery in Jameson. Memorials may be made in Erik’s name and sent to McWilliams Family Funeral Home, 1329 W. Grand Ave., Gallatin, 64640.
Erik Eugene Eriksen Jr., 14, Jameson, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident four miles east of Jameson at the intersection of Missouri Highway 190 and State Route P. His stepbrother, Jerry Du Rossette, also was killed in the accident.
Erik was born in Kansas City, and had lived in Jameson for the past three years.
He was a student at the Chillicothe (Mo.) Youth Service.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Paula J. and Todd Peterson, of the home; his father, Erik E. Eriksen, Kansas City; two brothers, Daniel and Corey Eriksen, both of Jameson; a sister, Erika Eriksen, Independence; a stepsister, Jessica Catone, Independence; maternal grandmother, Paula Du Rossette, Independence; maternal grandfather and stepgrandmother, Dallas and Carol Du Rossette, Independence; paternal grandparents, Gary and Anna Eriksen, Sugar Creek; and maternal great-grandmother, Jeannie Martin, Independence.
