Sandra (Jarrett) Whitman, and her husband, Bob, were seriously injured in an accident while vacationing in Florida on Oct. 21, when they were stuck by a car while walking across a street. Bob received a broken leg, and has been released from the hospital. However, Sandra was in critical condition for nearly two weeks, with head injuries and several broken bones.
Her sisters, Jan Duly and Paula Christiansen, have gone to be with them in Florida, and are hoping to be able to have Sandra moved back to Kansas City by next week. She will have to undergo several months of physical therapy and rehabilitation, and would enjoy hearing from her friends. Their home address is: 11414 Grant, Overland Park, Kansas, 66210.
Sandra is a graduate of Pattonsburg High School.
