Funeral services for Viola Dunnington were held on Sunday at McWilliams Family Funeral Home- Hope Chapel in Gallatin. Burial was at Brown Cemetery in Gallatin. Memorials may be made to the Gallatin Senior Citizens Center.
Viola B. Dunnington, 82, Gallatin, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, at the Cameron hospital.
Mrs. Dunnington was born in Atlantus Grove. She moved to a farm south of Gallatin after her marriage. Recently, she moved into Gallatin.
Mrs. Dunnington, a homemaker, also worked at the Y Cates, Lakeview and PJ’s restaurants, all in Gallatin.
On Dec. 3, 1938, she married Lindley Dunnington in Albany. He died in 1975.
Mrs. Dunnington also was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Julia A. and Isabel; and 12 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include a son, Franklin, Gallatin; two daughters, Darlene Fuller and Linda Tomlin, both of Cameron; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
