Funeral services for Harriett Hawkins were held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the Hamilton United Methodist Church. Burial was in Cameron Memory Gardens. Arrangements were by the Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton. Memorials may be made to the Hamilton United Methodist Church.
Harriett LaRue (Reeder) Hawkins, 83, Hamilton, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001, at a Hamilton health care center.
Mrs. Hawkins, a homemaker, was born in Mason City, Ill. She graduated from the Jamesport high school. She had lived in Hamilton since 1947.
Mrs. Hawkins was a member of the Hamilton United Methodist Church; American Legion Auxiliary; and a volunteer at the Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home, all of Hamilton.
On Aug. 30, 1947, she married Harry J. Hawkins at the Trenton United Methodist Church. He preceded her in death in 1993.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Mayers, Hamilton; a son, David Hawkins, Olathe, Kan.; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
