Funeral services for Gail Cornelius will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at the United Methodist Church in Hamilton. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, Hamilton. Family visitation is from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight (Wednesday) at the Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton. Memorials may be made to the building fund of her church.

Elizabeth Gail (Cox) Cornelius, 87, Hamilton, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001, at the Cameron hospital.

Mrs. Cornelius was born in the New York community, south of Hamilton, and had lived in Kidder, before moving to Hamilton in 1971.

She graduated from the New York high school, south of Hamilton; and Kidder Junior College.

Mrs. Cornelius, a homemaker, also taught school for two years and was a substitute teacher.

She was a member of the Hamilton United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Hamilton Monday Club, and organist at the Kidder United Methodist Church. She also had been active in 4-H Club.

On May 6, 1935, she married Floyd H. Cornelius in Kidder. He died in 1971.

Mrs. Cornelius also was preceded in death by a brother, Menzie Cox; and two sisters, Frances Frazier and Rosamond Baker.

Survivors include two daughters, Janice Alden, Hamilton, and Kay Sharp, Chillicothe; two sisters, Fern Karnes, Hamilton, and Virginia Ritchie, Seattle; and six grandchildren
