A Gallatin teenager and a Cameron woman were injured in a one car accident at about 1 a.m. on Oct. 28, at I 29 and Cook Road in St. Joseph, according to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred as Suzanne Balabon, 21, Cameron, was southbound on I 29 when she swerved and left the roadway. The car overturned one time and came to rest on the passenger side. Suzanne Balabon received moderate injuries and the passenger, Sophia Regerbis, 16, received minor injuries. Both were taken to Heartland Hospital by Andrew County Ambulance.

Both young women were wearing seat belts.

The 1999 Ford was totaled and towed by Glenns Wrecker of Cameron.

The accident was investigated by Tpr. B.E. Kelley, assisted by Cpl. J.M. Owen and the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Department.

Summons was issued for DWI, driving while suspended and C and I driving.
