American Legion Post #68 and VFW Post #2172 invite any and all veterans who served their country to have breakfast at Kathy’s Place Restaurant in honor of Veterans Day at 7 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10. Col. Dennis Heldenbrand will present some WWII veterans their Missouri State Medal honoring those veterans from Missouri who served during World War II.
The Veterans Service Officer will not be at the Green Hills Office on Nov. 1 as previously scheduled. The Service Officer will return on Dec. 6 on his next scheduled visit.
Those Veterans wishing applications for the WWII Victory Medal may call 1-800-922-1483 ext. 2889 and leave their name, address, zip code and telephone number. An application will follow through the mail. Remember, Dec. 31 is the application deadline.
