The children of Dortha (Scurlock-Adkison) Thompson invite relatives and friends to join them in the celebration of her 75th birthday on Nov. 11, with a card shower and your prayers. Her address is 4644 South East Wooden Avenue, Braymer, 64624. An open house will be held on Saturday, Nov. 3, at the American Legion Building, 9th and Murray Street, Braymer, from 2 to 4 p.m.
Dortha has seven children. They are Claudia (Adkison) Terhune of Boonville; Wayne and Donna Adkison of Cameron; Margaret and Jim Watts of Carrollton; Hank and Becky Adkison of Clifton Hill; Martha and Jeff Lister of Smithville; Dale Adkison of Braymer; Joyce and John Cozad of St. Joseph. She has 19 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Dortha’s eldest daughter, Claudia, will celebrate her 55th birthday on Nov. 14. Her address is Claudia Terhune, 806 7th Street, #4 Boonville, 65233. A card shower is planned for her.
