Members of the Gallatin FCCLA and FFA Chapters joined together to host the annual Barnwarming dance and festivities on Oct. 20. The J&J Seed plant served as the site for the dance again this year. The Dowell family were hosts. Over 200 members and guests enjoyed a night of dancing, games and fun.
Candidates for Barnwarming royalty this year were Garett Houghton and Kelsie Parker- freshmen; Mitch Riley and Ashley Eaton-sophomores; Will Jarboe and Sophie Regerbis-juniors; and Austin Story and Chasidy Renne-seniors.
Last year’s king and queen, Robert Mazur and Kim Clevenger, crowned this year’s royalty. Senior Austin Story and Freshman Kelsie Parker were elected as this year’s King and Queen. Members and guests enjoyed cider chugging, a wheel barrow race, a cow chip toss, a red ear of corn contest, doughnut eating and lots of dancing. Music was provided by the Berry Bond from Maysville and J.R. Bird and Dillon Bird were the square dance callers.
