Well-known author and speaker Bill Sanders delivered laughter and common sense to parents and others who attended his free program at the Gallatin school on Oct. 23. Sanders stressed that parents must develop a sense of humor which can be passed on to their kids. He said that parents cannot fail to be a model for their children, because “what you do in moderation, they will do in excess.” he stressed that “yelling destroys and makes everyone a loser.” Parents need to hug their kids, and admit “I’m a jerk sometimes.” Most importantly, parents must cherish time spent with their kids.
