Funeral services for Virginia Adcock, a native of Daviess County, will be held Friday at Roberson Funeral Home in Bethany. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery at McFall. Visitation is after 8 a.m.

Thursday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Virginia A. (Williamson) Sherrill Adcock, 86, Bethany, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001.

Mrs. Adcock was born in Daviess County. She also lived in Boulder and Berthared, Colo.

Mrs. Adcock was a cook at several restaurants in the Bethany area, including Keithly and Hendren Cafes, and the Harrison Hotel, as well as for fraternity houses in Boulder, Colo.

Mrs. Adcock was a member of the Baptist Church. She had attended the Trinity Assembly of God Church in Colorado and Community of Christ Church in Bethany.

On March 21, 1931, she married Jessie C. Sherrill. They were later divorced. Then on March 29, 1964, she married Elsa V. Adcock. He died in 1994.

Mrs. Adcock also was preceded in death by two daughters, Emma E. Sherrill and Nina R. Nielson; two brothers, John and Clifford Williamson; and a sister, Bessie Wilder.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Jo Ellen Decker, Bethany, and Shirley C. Sargent, Exeter, Calif.; a sister, Dortha M. Huntsman, Liberty; 10 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; 15 great-

grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild and a step great-great-grandchild.
