Julia Terrill and Jess Hansen were united in marriage on June 2 at the First Baptist Church in Lexington.

The bride is the daughter of Jule and Beverly Terrill of Gallatin. The groom is the son of Bill and Muriel Hansen of Mission, Texas.

The Rev. Aubrey Burk officiated the ceremony. The bride, escorted by her father, wore a princess line satin gown adorned with hand beaded re-embroidered lace. The scalloped neckline and short lace sleeves were edged with re-embroidered lace. The back bodice featured satin buttons to the hem and a castillion train. The bride carried a cascade bouquet of roses and stargazer lilies.

Jill Terrill of Lexington, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Monica Soendker and Debbie Bollmeyer of Lexington, friends of the bride, were bridesmaids. Each wore a floor- length, midnight blue satin dress with an overlay of chiffon with a v-neckline accented with beads.

Katy Black of Gallatin, friend of the bride, was the junior bridesmaid. She wore a floor length white matte satin dress and a long sleeve bolero embellished with lacy medallions accented with pearls and sequins. Deanna Hamilton, Lee’s Summit, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl. She wore a white lace dress.

Russ Hansen, Olalthe, Kan., brother to the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen, Bill Keeney, Belton, and Keith Emmons, Gallatin, were friends of the groom. Kevin Black, Gallatin, friend of the bride, and Robbie Helms, Dallas, Texas, cousin of the bride, seated guests. All wore black tuxedos and black vests. Katie Wood, Blue Springs, harpist, played the music before the ceremony.

Virginia Robbins of Grain Valley, friend of the bride and groom, was the organist. Larinda Reach of Blue Springs, friend of the bride and groom, was the soloist. She sang “I Cross My Heart” as Katy Black and Kevin Black lit the candles. Larinda and Jess sang “All I Ask of You.” During the lighting of the unity candle, Larinda and Jess sang “The Prayer.”

Beth Burk of Jones Creek, Texas, friend of the bride, attended the guest book. Jo Dixson of Edina, friend of the bride, distributed the wedding programs. Valerie Metzger of North Manchester, Ind., friend of the bride, received the gifts. Tori Michael of Lexington, friend of the couple, was the wedding processional coordinator. Sherry Hayes and Michelle Roush of Lexington, friends of the bride, were the reception hostesses.

A candlelight dinner and reception was held in the Fellowship Hall following the ceremony. The couple resides in Lexington.
