David E. Parton, 57, Stewartsville, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2001, at a St. Joseph hospital.
The body was cremated. There were no services. Arrangements were by the Bram Funeral Home in Maysville. Memorials may be made to relief in New York City, N.Y., in care of the American Red Cross, 401 N. 12th St., St. Joseph, 64501.
Mr. Parton was born in Gallatin. He attended the Stewartsville High School. He was a longtime resident of Stewartsville.
Mr. Parton formerly worked at the Watkins Sawmill in Stewartsville.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stewartsville.
On Aug. 20, 1967, he married Betty Lou Lake in Stewartsville. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Larry and Michael, both of Stewartsville; his father, William A., Stewartsville; his mother, Faye Shaffer, Maysville; a sister, Nina Cooper, Amity; and five
brothers, Clarence and Ray, both of Stewartsville, Roger, St. Joseph, Doug, Agency, and Joe, Connecticut.
