The Daviess County “Relay For Life” will be held Saturday, Sept. 29, from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. at the Gallatin High School Track.
Events will be held throughout the night for the public to enjoy: 5:30 p.m. — Whole hog roast sponsored by Doug and Sandra Alden and Chi-rho youth group. Ends at 8 p.m. A $5.00 donation is suggested with proceeds to go to A.C.S.; 6 p.m. — Opening ceremony with the National Anthem, followed by the Survivor Walk; 6:30 p.m. — Baby show and talent show. The talent show begins immediately following announcements after baby show. Shows are sponsored by Nelson Mini Storage and Gayla’s Dance Studio. See ad for details.; 9 p.m. — Luminary ceremony.
Other events include kids games, moon walk, car bash, Memories D.J. all night by Todd Holcomb and Priscilla Whitt, drawings for several gift items from previous ticket sales, games and contests, a chili cook-off, and much, much more.
The theme of the Relay is “We won’t sit-com and wait for a cure.” Please come out and enjoy the fun and help Daviess County raise money for the American Cancer Society.
