Besides some new great titles, some new memorial gifts have been placed in the Daviess County Library. A bench has been placed outside the Community Room in memory of Pauline Heldenbrand. This bench is purchased partially by memorial contributions and dedicated by the Library Board for the many years she served as Trustee.

New shelving is being placed in the Young Adult section of the library. Two units of this shelving have been purchased through memorial gifts in memory of Fred Tapp.

New books are always welcomed at the library, especially those in honor of special occasions. Chicka Chicka Boom Boom has been placed in the library by the James Critten Family of Gallatin in honor of the birth of Nichole Billings, daughter of Joseph and Jennifer Billings.

Other memorial books include three by Erma Bombeck titled I Lost Everything in the Post Natal Depression, At Wit’s End, and Four of a Kind, which were placed in memory of Ina Naylor by Pam (Tate) Palmer.

In remembrance of Danielle Alverda deJong by her family, Richard, Diana and Devin deJong is Chicken Soup for the Kids’ Soul.
