Daniel Lynn, bridge supervisor, and James Lewis, foreman, met with the commission reporting that trenching around the courthouse will be completed this week. Hausman Metal Works and Roofing was contacted to resume work on the downspouts. The commission inspected the work progress.
The commission reviewed brush reports in Sheridan Township. The commission will inspect the locations prior to sending certified notices.
Jim Whorton, new elected state representative, third district, met with the commission regarding regional jails and other concerns and needs for this district.
The commission approved changes recommended by the clerk in the sheriff’s budget expenditures, transferring amounts within previous appropriations.
The commission will meet in closed session on Aug. 23 for the purpose of preparing for the small claims court case filed by Teresa Eaton against the county on Friday, Aug. 24.
