Memorial services for Russell Taylor were held Friday at Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home in Trenton. The body has been cremated. Private family inurnment will be at a later date at Grundy Center Cemetery, near Trenton. Memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.

Russell Taylor, 83, Trenton, died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2001, at his residence.

Born in Daviess County, Mr. Taylor had served in the Army during World War II.

For 51 years, Mr. Taylor had farmed for the Dolan brothers until retiring.

On Jan. 27, 1962, he married Eleanore Clark in Trenton. She died in 1979.

Mr. Taylor also was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald and Donald W.; and a sister, Vawnitha L. Taylor.

Survivors include a son, David, Trenton; a daughter, Debbie Richardson, Montgomery, Ala.; two sisters, Janice Miller, Galt, and Betty Taul, Trenton; and five brothers, Charles, Kenneth, Ivan and George, all of Trenton, and Robert, Laredo.
