Gene and Pat Leer will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at a reception from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, at the Kidder Baptist Church at 2nd and Walnut St., Kidder. Friends and relatives are invited. No gifts, please. Your presence will be their present. Cards may be sent to 17895 Yale Ave., Kidder, 64649. They were married Sept. 2, 1951, in Kansas City at St. Marks Lutheran Church. The event will be hosted by their children and their children’s spouses, Diane and Wayne Pine, Dewayne and Mary Leer, Terry and Judy Leer, Anna and Steve Laird.
