Funeral services for Aline Thompson were held Sunday at Bram Funeral Home in Gallatin. Burial was at Butler Cemetery in King City. Memorials may be made to Children’s Mercy Hospital or to her church, in care of the funeral home, 1329 W. Grand Ave., Gallatin, 64640.
Aline May (Ingram) Thompson, 86, Gallatin, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2001, at Cameron Manor.
Born in Strasburg, Cass County, she was reared there and moved to Lee’s Summit when a child. She graduated from Lee’s Summit High School in 1933.
A homemaker, Mrs. Thompson was the bookkeeper for the family-owned businesses. She and her late husband, Frank, were the owners of the Mary Arlene Apartments and the Thompson John Deere Implement Company, both of Gallatin. She retired in 1982.
Mrs. Thompson was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the Christian Women’s Fellowship, Gallatin Garden Club, and Pinochle Club, all of Gallatin. She was an active worker and sponsor and past board member of the Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.
On Dec. 24, 1935, she married Frank Thompson in Lee’s Summit. He died in 1989.
Mrs. Thompson was also preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Arlene; and two sisters.
Survivors include a nephew, Bill Elliott, Kansas City, who was raised in her home and other nieces and nephew.
