Athletes bring home ribbons from track & field event

On June 29, six area youths competed in the Hershey’s Track & Field State Championships held in Jefferson City. The youths advanced by winning their events at the local meet held at South Harrison High School in May. Those bringing home ribbons were Becca Bowland, Tiffany deJong and Trayce deJong, all of Pattonsburg; Kyla Payne and Monica Wilson, both of Gilman City; Jeffrey Bridgeman of Gilman City also advanced to the state meet.
