Dorothy Hanes, family and consumer sciences teacher at North Daviess R-3, and Kathy Robertson, Gallatin R-5, and Vicki Woodward, Pattonsburg R-2, were among approximately 3,000 vocational instructors from throughout Missouri who participated in the 32nd annual Missouri ACTE/MoEFACS State Inservice Conference sponsored by the Missouri Association for Career and Technical Education (Missouri ACTE) and the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
The conference, held July 24-26 in Springfield, focused on curriculum, technology and other important topics for vocational education programs. Participants had the opportunity to share ideas, review teaching materials and update their knowledge in specialized subject areas.
The Missouri Educators of Family and Consumer Science (MoEFACS), a division of Missouri ACTE, offered a variety of presentations centered around the them, “Family and Consumer Sciences: The Journey of a Lifetime.”
