On July 17, Kent Critten of Gallatin reported property damage at his residence when someone drove a 4-wheeler approximately 1/4 mile through a corn field near his residence.
John Olds, manager of the Texaco Truck Stop at I-35 and Highway 69, reported July 20 that a person known to him left without paying for gasoline. Charges are pending.
Tyler Johnson of Altamont reported property damage on July 23 when someone ran into his vehicle and left without reporting it. The vehicle was parked at Bing’s Convenience Store in Altamont.
On July 21, Denny Davis of Gladstone reported that an ATV had been unlawfully taken from a residence at Winston. The ATV was taken to another Winston residence and left damaged. Charges are pending.
Crystal Pearce, 19, of Excelsior Springs was charged July 17 with passing bad checks, a Class D felony. She posted $5,000 bond.
Stacey Johnson of Gallatin was arrested July 17 for failure to appear on a charge of passing bad checks. She posted $500 bond.
Jacob Nicholas Brown, 18, was charged with a probation violation July 23 and is being held in Delaware County, Iowa, awaiting extradition by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department.
A 22-year-old St. Joseph man was charged July 19 with failure to appear on a charge of passing bad checks. He posted $600 bond.
The sheriff’s office received a total of 32 calls in the period from July 17-24.
