Andrea Lynn Wilkinson, daughter of Darryl and Elizabeth Wilkinson of Gallatin, and Dallas Dean Lockridge, son of Kenneth and Sharon Lockridge of Jamesport, were united in marriage on June 2, 2001, at the First Baptist Church of Gallatin. The Rev. David Fitzmaurice officiated the afternoon ceremony. The sanctuary was illuminated by sunlight filtering through the floor-to-rafters stained glass window. Candles were placed in random arrangements accented with greenery at the front of the church.
The bride’s strapless dress was accented with silver floral patterns on the skirt and bodice. The dress laced up the back and featured a long train. The groom wore a black and silver tuxedo.
Jill Wilkinson, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Brant Burns, brother-in-law of the groom, was the best man. Bridesmaids were Erin Place of Albany, Molly Allen of Luling, TX, and Alecia Thomas of St. Louis. Groomsmen were Chad Bilby of St. Louis, Cody Bird and Jesse Bird of Gallatin, cousins of the groom. The bride’s attendants wore long lavender dresses, while the groom’s attendants were in black tuxedos with lavender vests.
Jacque Ruse, soloist, sang “If I Should Fall Behind” and “Grow Old With Me.” She was accompanied by Sue Bird, the groom’s aunt.
Candlelighters were Nikki Lund and Tara Burns, sisters of the groom. The flower girl was Aubrey Burns, niece of the groom. Ringbearers were Wyatt Bird and Declan Schweizer, cousins of the groom.
Ushers were Scott and Brett Wilkinson, brothers of the bride, Mark Hemry, and Dennis Lund, brother-in-law of the groom. The guest book attendant was Minnie Rucker of Ridgeway. Gift and program attendants were Melody Von Engeln of Boonville and Lacey and Paige Stoppelman, cousins of the bride. Tim Von Engeln, uncle of the bride, and Jessie Holeman were the videographers.
Grandparents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Bird of Gallatin, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gallihugh of Chilhowee, and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Wilkinson of Warrensburg.
The wedding was the occasion which reunited Dallas’s father, Kenneth Lockridge, with his five cousins who had not all been together since 1973. They were Alice Blahous and her husband Charles of Pittsburg, Penn.; Nancy Batson and her husband and son, David and Miles, of Washington D.C.; Alan Smith of Portland, Ore.; Kathy Melilli of Orange, Calif.; and Carolyn Smith of Raymore.
The reception was held at the Lake Viking Clubhouse. Cake and punch servers were Joanna Bird, Susan Bird, Macon Schweizer, Natalie Salmon, Debbie Heldenbrand and Karen Critten. Janie McKinsey of Gallatin acted as wedding coordinator.
After honeymooning in Jamaica, the couple now reside in Columbia. Andrea is presently employed by the Missouri Division of Tourism in Jefferson City and will begin law school in August. Dallas has accepted a position as claims representative with State Farm Insurance and also judges horse shows all over Missouri.
